Domain: Pillock dot com (don't bother visiting - there's nothing there at present) I've had this domain for ages and not done anything with it but am now about to put it out there....mainly because I'm bored and have nothing to do for the next 2 weeks OK...for non UK readers a Pillock (in the UK at least anyway) is a stupid or annoying person; simpleton; fool What shall I do with it I thought I'd use it with a voting script whereby viewers can nominate their friends, enemies, anybody to be ...a pillock This is the sort of flow I had in mind....(see below) Any suggestions? ==================================================== Pillock of the moment shows the latest 20 nominations (ordered in most recently submitted) Pillock of the week displays the 20 highest nominations for the past week (ordered with highest number of votes in previous week) Pillock of the month displays the 20 highest nominations for the past month (ordered with highest number of votes in previous month) Pillock of the Year (ordered with highest number of votes in previous year) User nominates a pillock User must register and leave:- name; username; (displayed) email; name of person being nominated; email of person being nominated; picture of person being nominated; (if no picture then standard one is displayed in results) reason for nomination - maximum 200 words. On submit script checks if that name has been nominated before if it has ask user to proceed to that page to vote or continue and build a new page (but if it is a duplicate submission admin will probably disallow it) User validates submission via email link; Admin can add/edit/authorise/delete any entry (and add pictures) Admin needs to authorise entry before it is published; On authorisation by admin, user gets an email saying it it live Nominee gets email saying "Congrats...you've been nominated" etc) Viewers can then vote on the pillock from one to five "stars" One star is "minor pillock" Two stars is "potential pillock" Three stars is "probable pillock" Four stars is "up and coming pillock" 5 stars is "Prize Pillock" Viewers will not be able to vote for same "pillock" twice (unless they change their IP address) Nominees (Pillocks) can rebut their nomination (or ask for their nomination to be deleted) by completing a form ==================================================== I just thought I'd run it by the guru's on here to see if you have any suggestions I may not have thought about.
