I am initially planning 4 week long competitions over about 10 weeks (this is allowing some time to fine tune the rules). Benefits for the sponsor - 1. Sponsor will be mentioned as a sponsor in the competition thread, this can include a paragraph of text and 3 links describing the business 2. Sponsor will be mentioned (and linked) as the sponsor in a targeted email to >200 members Price is $10 per competition, which works out to less than 5c per email, plus permanent do-follow backlinks on a PR2 forum.
