Hello all! I started a site a little more than a month ago that is similar to Fiverr, but everything is $10 and it revolves more around products than services. I expected to take awhile for my main keywords to crack the top 10, so I did some SEO for it and some light social marketing. I checked my Google rankings a couple of weeks after starting the SEO and unexpectedly saw that I was in the top 10 for 4 of the keywords that I am targeting (cheap gifts, cheap gift ideas, cheap christmas gifts and cheap gifts for men). Obviously a great problem to have. Unfortunately, I have only a few sellers to date and just a couple dozen products listed. This is where hopefully you can help. If you or someone you know has a product or service that they can sell for $10, please have them register on my site and then add their products ASAP. Obviously October is right around the corner, so I am expecting a BIG spike in traffic with the holidays and my keywords cracking the top 3 in the next week or so. Thanks for your time, and any help you can give would be greatly appreciated
How about joining my affiliate program? I have about 60 products for under $10.00. BTW...if interested, click my sig, not the cheap link DP attaches to the word "affiliate".
Thanks Jim - I will look into it. I have quite a bit on my plate, so I would prefer to add sellers that can post products themselves.
SEO4Hire - I need to address your situation.. Stop Chasing Money! - Dump the Amazon ads @bottom - Recolor the site - Hello and Welcome banner way to big - STUDY: Amazon and Ebay - what is appealing to there market place? - Invite other product creators from fiverr and like sites to post up on yours. ** It is Key to understand what MADE fiverr a success, simple design, inviting colors and a services that can be completed from people anywhere in the world. YOU are trying to compete with amazon - like it or not - .. So what is your UNIQUE Proposition to sellers to be one your website and what is unique about your site for me to shop ? If you want real success, don't worry about making money or having sellers you have sign up---- You want to pick the products and then have them send you traffic as the place to go..
LOL...SEO4hire....I was thinking the same thing. This time of year is the busiest for my business. (When the weather turns cool, people buy tons of jam...not to mention a load of apple butter and pumpkin butter.) Much is going on right now. That's why I suggested my affiliate program. I have a little time this weekend. Let me take a closer look at your site. Maybe I can find the time to list some of my products. Jim
Thanks for the input awcguy - I truly appreciate it. I will take them into consideration. Right now, my main focus is to add sellers that offers products. Fiverr mainly offers services, which I plan to offer as well, but it is not my priority with the holidays around the corner.
Great to hear Jim. If you can add yourself as a seller and add some products on your own, that would be very helpful and preferred. Please get the word out to any friends or family that have any products to sell. We are getting about 50-75 visits a day and it is growing steadily every week, so there will be some great opportunities to make some sales over the next 2-3 months.
