A panel that controls all my domains in one area - I'm used to HSphere, although I know CPanel is more popular (panel needs to have auto responders that can send out files/attachments, I need to be able to set up forwarding for e-mail so I can have a copy sent to me, can p/w protect certain folders on my server usually this is done thru File Manager, can add FTP users, domains & e-mails easily.)

I know, I sound like an advertisement.

Servage is brilliant.

They are adult friendly - with my sites they have to be - quick service and they give you free hosting for referrals (and yes, that is my code).

I have a couple of sites which serve 20000+ pages a day with lots of pictures. No trouble, no downtime.

Seriously, check them out!

I just didn't understand if they are Unix or not b/c it said Apache with ASP.

What's their tech support hours like, how long b4 they get back to you & how long b4 it's fixed & do they speak English?

How long have you been with them & how many times have you been down?

What about customer support if tech support is being nasty? LOL

I checked them out & they never got back to me.

I e-mailed them yesterday & we'll see if they e-mail me back today.

Also I found out that CPanel doesn't have the feature to send attachments in auto responders.

Why do they advertise $12 domain registration on the top of their page? Just struck me as funny.

I investigated servage pretty hard about 5 months ago when I was looking for hosting. They were definately one of the finalists. I just saw some issues with over-selling and performance.

 

Michelle - even though I just had Servage suspend my account for four hours because of what I think was a traffic overload mistake - they are great.

Tech support speaks good English and when I had one problem which they simply could not fix - largely because I was trying to do something it turns out you can't do with Apache - they actually tried to build a work around for me.

Customer support is good if basic. This is not a server solution for people who have never had a website before. But looking at your sites it is pretty clear you know what you are doing.

They do not use cpanel which makes for a different experience. Their onsite statistics are terrible, but now you can get google to do your stats.

In all a wonderful deal. Plus you get a free domain name when you sign up.

Well the stats isn't usually a big deal b/c I'm trying out a new stats program. The free ones like AWStats are ok, but aren't really that great.

No offense, but I don't feel google has good stats & that's only for PPC, not organic.

I e-mailed them & they never e-mailed me back today & no offense, but I don't need someone pushing a company to e-mail back a potential client. I do appreciate the offer though & I know you get something if I sign up. They may still get back to me tomorrow.

I told them I want to see a demo of their panel.

I'll keep you posted if I go with them. So far no one I'm interested in wants my biz which I find very odd LOL, but nowadays it seems the thing to not care.

According to my Servage friends I'd had 480,000 page requests (which I take to be Danish for page views) by 11:30 PST or 7:30 GMT. I should be so lucky!

My statcounter says 18,000 which is more in line. But it will get sorted. Hope they get back to you.

 

Hmmm, doesn't sound good.

Anyway, I don't think they got back to me.

I have someone else in mind & I'm waiting to hear back from one other place.
