I'm seeking a developer to create an ASP or ASP.NET based shopping comparison type website application. The functionality should be very similar to http://www.pricescan.com. My database catalog will contain thousands of products in a MySQL database. The products need to be able to be searched/grouped by product category and by manufacturer. Then in these views, the results need to be further organized. So if a user searches for all products by Acme Corp, the results should be able to be sorted by category or by price. If a visitor searches for all Widgets, the results need to be able to be sorted by manufacturer or by price. The application should allow for users to register to be able to save items into their "favorites" as well as be able to write reviews of these products. The reviews need to have a rating system built in as well so that visitors will be able to see the review status on a scale of 1-5 stars or something like that. In addition, this application needs to be able to allow vendors to be able to create accounts. The account will allow a vendor to list their prices for any products which they sell and to be able to create a link directly to that product on their own site. It will need to be able accept the vendors data in a comma delimited format or in XML format so that they may upload their data in batches whenever they choose. The application needs to also provide a means for the vendor to display a small "about us" page as well as allow registered users to be able to review the vendors.
