Hi, I am an experienced designer, but have never really gotten into the whole programming or CMS sides of things.

I have familiarity with some forms of templates/themes for existing sites such as Wordpress, but have never worked with Joomla.

I bought a RocketTheme and a few other Joomlart themes, but when I upload them, they don't come with all of the modules/mambots/etc. enabled. I need help from someone who has extensive experience with Joomla to help guide me through the process of setting up Joomla to the exact specifications that are displayed on the Rocketheme sites, etc. Then, in addition to that, I need help with a few other aspects on Joomla sites. I ESPECIALLY need help with module placement and the whole concept of using modules, because that is very confusing for me.

I am willing to throw a few dollars your way if you are helpful and know your stuff, but I do have a VERY VERY limited budget. Please PM me to offer some help. And please be prepared to show me a site or sites that you have setup using Joomla.

    Thanks in advance!

It's not a big deal to add more module placements in the templates.

    What! ??

What I mean is... when you view a rocket theme demo on their site, they have all kinds of awesome features and modules in place. But if you buy one, and install it... then they don't have any of the modules enabled. The only problem is, I don't know how to enable them.

    :(

Oh! You may or may not have the modules that they have, but you can publish and unpublish any modules installed on your system and even download and install additional modules. In your admin. area you should notice the Module menu item - click it and then the Site Modules menu item. This area shows a list of available module (not all of which are published) on your system. Take anyone of them with a red X and click on the Module name. The action will open the module parameters area for that module and allow you to publish/unpublish and modify any params you wish.

Go ahead and publish a module, set the position to left and save. Now go to the front of the site and check results. Use this procedure to publish and unpublish modules on your system.

NOTE: These themes may or may not have all the module positions available that you see in the position's drop-down list, but they can be added to that template. That's another lesson.

You can also tell what module position your template has and where they display their content, by using the Site->Preview->Inline with Positions option.

    Give that a try too.

You can also go to the Rockettheam demo templates. There you can find what module they use and how they use it.
