Seeking a bit of advice...

    Hi folks. My name is Jeremy, and I am honored to be among some of the Internet's "best and brightest." I am hoping that some of it will rub off on me, so, my IQ can jump to those darn double digits. Here's to hopin'!

    Anyway, for those that have no clue who I am, and care, I invite you to my "introduction" thread underneath the Introduction section of this fine message board.

    Here is what I am wanting to do. I have a nearly completed E-Book that I have written (actually, it may be considered a "Special Report," as it will be less than 15 pages when completed.) It is directed towards the person who has had an issue with a product or service, and after attempting to have it resolved without success, is thinking there is no hope. I have a proven method, that, each time used, gets results.

    Anyway, it has been suggested for me to find various message boards and give a small "blurb" in a thread on each one, especially in the midst of people complaining about a product or service. I am looking for even more ways to market it.

    I had originally thought of selling the "Report" for around 8.95 or something, with maybe a price of around $4.95 for "samples" of my method. However, I was told that in order to get results, that I would need to incorporate the number "7" into the price, and also, raise the price. So, I adjusted, in my mind, the price that I would set. $17 or so for the Report, and $13 or the samples, or, both for $28. What do you guys think about it?

    My product is basically a description of why my method works, the thinking of the methodology, and then a list of "steps" to take, and how those steps should look.

    For those that were still unable, or unwilling, to attempt to get results on their own, I had thought of selling my services as their representative, for around $39-$49. A friend of mine, who, by the way, is giving me the webspace and domain name, suggested that I charge an initial, up front cost, and if successful, a percentage of the resolution. For instance, and this is only an example, if we are trying to get a $10,000 car issue resolved, and with no success previously, I'd charge $39 or so for my effort, and if the effort reaches success, I'd get a "gratuity" , or whatever you'd want to call it, of $1500. (The suggested rate would be 15%.)

    The only reasons that I haven't went into business are:
    1. The product isn't quite finished yet, but, should be finished by the weekend.
    2. I was hoping to be able to just start simply selling, but, was educated to the fact that because I want to do things ethically and honestly, I need to go get the Tax ID, LLC, Business License, and the like. I am scared, because my wife and I are in a very tight financial crunch, that I'd be "throwing money away," even though it would only take a few sales to recoup my costs.
    3. I just need some encouragement to help me finish going the way. I come up with 3 or so great ideas per year, but, right before implementation, I become very hesitant to start them.

    Anyway, here is my idea. I welcome your comments, suggestions, and questions.
