I am seeing some differences across multiple English datacenters. Using McDars Google Watch tool for (1) particular search term relating to my company VISIONEFX (Virginia Web Design) returned the following for my company listing: 64.233.161.107 - not in 1st 5 pages 64.233.161.147 - not in 1st 5 pages 64.233.171.99 - 1st page 64.233.171.104 - 1st page 64.233.171.107 - 1st page 64.233.171.147 - 1st page Is this due to a PR update, Google Dance, Algo change or Bad Weather? Any thoughts?
This has been going on for a while now (months), there is at the moment 2/3 different sets of results google is showing and to be honest, no one knows what the hell is going on.
When I typed in mis-spelling for the search: (Virginia Web Desing) then Google displays (Did you mean Virginia Web Design?) I click that link and the results have me back on page one. But searching directly with the correct spelling I'm no where to be found. Google is like the weather here in Virginia Beach. The locals here say; If you don't like the weather, wait another hour and it will change...
I still not figure out how this kind of things happen. Here is my example: 1st in google.fr for 'links exchange' since 2 weeks and sometimes 2nd page of google.com (may depend the datacenter) sometimes, no idea where. if someone can explain why google.fr shows me first while I target international and my site is in english (got a french version too but 'links exchange' is not french). First I was thinking the update hasn t been through all datacenters but why google.fr would be first ??
yeah linkstraffic I always rank a lot better on non US TLD's for some reason and I do not even target international TLD's and most of my links come from US based sites.
And that even includes Google themselves!... Something is broken in the Algo rithm and for some reason they just do not seem to get it fixed. If this keeps up google's market share is going to start falling.
All I will say to you people is don't rely on Google or any other search engine. If your serious about making your business a success, then you seriously have to look at other ways of marketing your website Whilst I am recieving v good traffic from Google, I'll never rely on them to provide me with visitors.
