Seeing banners instead of Chitika MPU ads - why?

I'm giving Chitika another try, and decided to put MPU ads on one of my sites.

I'm seeing banner ads instead of the Chitika MPU ad units on my site, and even on the Chitika MPU demo page

What MPU ads should look like:

What I'm seeing instead (taken from the Chitika MPU overview page):

    What gives?

Chitika doesn't have the same advertisers they used to have. If you're not using their new Premium ads, which are targeted specifically to sites with lots of US traffic from search engines, all Chitika really has to offer these days are CPM banner ads, or worse, CPA (cost per action) ads.

At this point, you'd probably earn more money with a lemonade stand. Chitika is finished.

    I'm not so sure.

Any official Chitika reps care to chime in regarding the banners?

Somehow I doubt that an official Chitika marketing rep who's interested in keeping their job while it lasts is going to come on here and admit that yes, the future isn't looking too good these days.

I'm only going by my own experience with Chitika, having had great success with them up until a couple of months ago when it all ended, the experiences of many other people on this board, and Chitika's own public statements about the "advertisers of old" and how their new advertisers and ad formats are not working out well for many people. If your site can't benefit from their new Premium ads (is there anyone out there who is benefitting from these new ads??), you're stuck with CPM or CPA ads.

However, if you'd rather wait until an official Chitika rep tells you to keep your ticket on the Titanic because it's smooth sailing ahead, then by all means, it's your choice.

A few days ago, Chitika sent off emails to EVERY person they've ever rejected in order to make up for the publishers they've lost. Yeah, I'd say they're about done for.

Yeah I ditched Chitika because of this. I sent an email a couple of weeks ago and the reply:
Goodbye Chitika.. I'm trying Adnet now and maybe go back to TTZMedia :( loved Chitika MPU the most last time

You're probably from a country Chitika doesn't serve ads to. Try viewing your site from a US proxy.

I'm in Australia - so I should be seeing ads (not banners).

Screw it, I'll use another ad network.
