Seeing Back Links

Sometime either today or early tomorrow, I will have been participating in the Cooperative Ad program for 100 hours. I’m under the impression that my ads should start to be displayed across the network. At that time, should I start to see some evidence of increased back links to my site using the KeyWord Tracker tool when I perform the “Check Back Links” option?

The check back links function using Shawn's keyword tracker uses Google's link:www.site.com command. This command does not represent any current back links that you may be receiving from the network. This command more represents a sampling snapshot of what google has as back links for your site and google updates this monthly if we are lucky. I would instead use yahoo's linkdomain:www.site.com command and you should start seeing your back links.

Don't forget you might not see your ads exactly 100 hours after you are in the network. There are a lot of factors in play: your weighting, spider visits, etc.

Check back links in Yahoo... it's more up to date.
