Hi I think that the most of us have problems with spam mails. So therefor I'm writing here a few tips that can help you Greetings from Jason 1) Send only emails to persons you trust 2) Don't use chat programs with people you don't know. Because through chat programs (even MSN), I've heard it's easy to get all your private information. 3) Never use toolbars, because they collect your private information also. 4) Use anti-virus, firewall, anti-spyware and anti-phising programs 5) create longer and stronger email names that are harder to guess 6) a) Download and install software only from trusted online sources b) When prompted for a password, give an incorrect one first. A phishing site will accept it; a legitimate one won’t. 7) a) Adjust the Web browser’s security settings to the medium or high level b) Never directly respond to e-mail asking for personal information 8) Questionable messages should be verified by contacting the institution itself 9) Before submitting your email, check first for privacy policies, what they will do with your personal information 10) deactivate the option to receive email about other products and services 11) Many email programs offer filtering capabilities, if possible use this 12) Don't follow links in spam messages, or you are confirming that your email address is valid 13) Disable the automatic downloading of graphics in HTML mail 14) Consider opening an additional email account for ... online shopping, signing up for services, or including it on something like a comment card, posting to online bulletin boards, chat rooms, public mailing lists, or USENET 15) Don't forward every message to everyone in your address book, because if everyone do this, you can get a nice big email list for spamming And don't spam other members, or they spam you also
