I wanted to share this to give some newbies a little taste of what's possible with adwords and adsense in a competitive niche. I used plr content, an existing template I have for the website, and just added affiliate links and adsense ads. I setup an adwords campaign yesterday for mortgage refinancing. I used keywords analyzer to generate a list of keywords in that niche then selected one of those. I then expanded that into 7 different phrases that I thought would be "type-in" stuff. I built a landing page targeting those keywords, added it to my existing mortgage related website, then started the adwords campaign. It really only took about 20 minutes to generate the list of keywords, paste the plr content into the template, and setup the adwords campaign. I made a $30 qualified lead commission from getsmart.com and $12.61 in adsense. It only cost me $3.62 in adwords. Not bad, eh? Here is the list of keywords I started with in .csv format: download Hope this helps some of you.
Congratulations on the lead. As with other posts that have "How" and "$" in the title, I expect this post will get thousands of impressions. But what have you told us? It's a great pep talk, but what I want to know about is longevity. Many of us have had that initial $xxx Azoogle or CJ surge. But how do you keep that $42.61 : $3.62 ratio consistent?
With my experience (and I'm not a pure newbie in marketing), Google Adwords is not for newbies. Thanks to share your info, but they add no value. For example: which ads do you have used to promote?
Hi, I appreciate your feedback. Here are the ads I used. The main keyword I used is in the .csv file I posted above. Obvisously I don't want to give away that particular keyword or the 7 keyword phrases I derived from it. I'll be happy to answer any other questions the best I can to make the post more valuable to the forum members.
Thanks, I was excited as anyone would be to have a campaign work right out the bat. I agree, this could just be a lucky strike, a shooting star. I'll post the longer term results if anyone's still interested a month from now. Still, I hope there's something here that is helpful today.
Hey, thanks, I think this is valuable. I wish more of the experienced people would share. You might want to check your landing page in Firefox, it's a little off at the top. Please keep us updated.
Not sure what link you're talking about. The one in my sig goes to my site, but the one in the first post should prompt you to download a simple .csv file.
The affiliates with cj pay per lead, per sale, per click. It depends on the merchant. The one I used in this example is getsmart.com, they pay between $10-$40 per lead.
Well, before his edit at 8:46 it went to his site. Then he put that picture below it. I'm not trying to be mean I was pointing out that it wasn't a file previously.
Very true, I agree with you now You tell that are not sure what he is talking about, but you just edit your post a few minutes after browie's post.
I think that's right and it is my fault. Sorry. The link previsouly went to a page on my site with a link to the .csv file. That page displayed the same screen shots as I have posted above. After thinking about it over dinner, I felt it was redundant to show a page with the same screen shots as the post, so I changed the link to point directly to the .csv file and added a new screenshot of what the .csv file looks like.
Rob shared more info with you then the majority of you guys would ever disclose, so i don't understand why he is being attacked. Thanks for your thread, Rob.
did you use content network or search network ? Also i can't access your keywords link now , it gives 403 error. Can you post it again or can someone who downloaded them send me via pm ? Thanks
I used both content and search. Right now, I'm only getting clicks from the content network. I've attached the .xls file to this post, so hopefully everyone can get it now without a problem. Here is a screenshot: Here's the list you can plug into any keyword tool you use: Keyword phrase refinancing florida mortgage refinance florida refinance mortgage mortgage online online mortgage mortgage rate refinance california mortgage refinance michigan mortgage refinance diego refinance san house mortgage refinance re mortgage lower monthly payment refinance mortgage application refinance vehicle refinance 2nd mortgage credit poor refinancing low refinance rate refinance company mortgage refinance washington va refinancing refi mortgage san diego refinancing refinance streamline refinances refinance atlanta lower mortgage rate los angeles refinancing san jose refinancing purchase refinance tennessee refinance re mortgage quote pennsylvania home refinance colorado refinancing estate real refinancing tampa mortgage refinancing chicago home refinance house remortgage mortgage refinance tampa flexible remortgage online refi utah refinance loan 125 mortgage refinance refinance mortgage arm re finance home
Sorry I'm a bit of a scatter brain. I will try and preview my posts more often before saving them. I'll read my own posts a few times and edit them before I'm satisfied with it's content. Typically it's spelling or grammer. Sometimes I like to elaborate on a point and/or add screen shots. Sometimes members will point out a problem like a bad link. Honestly, the timing with browies's post and my edited post was coincidental. When someone is critical of my post, I always try to answer it separately. On that note, I appreciate all the feedback so far. However, I don't feel I'm being attacked. This is a good learning experience for me as well. Feedback, whether positive or negative is good feedback.
Hello fellow forum members. I was a little worried this campaign was going to lose money. On Day 5 I was break even. However, affiliate commissions updated today and I wanted to share with you the results so far. I'm happy to announce that it's still making money! Take a look. Adwords Cost: $71.30 Adsense Income: $19.84 (the year I graduated hs: 1984) Affliate Commissions: $165.00 Net Profit after 6 days: $165 + $19.84 - $71.30 = $113.54 ROI = (165+19.84)/71.3 - 1 = 159% P.S. I've put a little more work into my campaign after reviewing the statistics. One of my nine keywords was landing on page 3 of the serps (average position 19) at the $2.00 bid. So I up the bid on that particular keyword to $3.00 and now it's on page 2 (average position 15). I also tweaked my landing page by dressing it up with indenting some of the paragraphs for cosmetic purposes and also put in bold the keywords I used in the campaign. I don't know if this improves quality score, but I've read that it does help with keyword seo, so why not? About an additional 10 minutes of work. - Total time 30 minutes for $113!
