Hey, I recently got an offer on a domain I own of $150, -$15 comission.

I read up about being payed by paypal, but am I payed from sedos paypal account or the buyers?

    How would it matter?
I think, it would be from SEDO's paypal.

This is how it works: the buyer pays the agreed price to Sedo. Once SEDO receive the funds, they ask the domain owner to push or transfer the domain to the buyer’s registrar account. Once the buyer has confirmed that he has control over the domain, SEDO release the funds less the commission to the seller. So you will get paid by SEDO afterall.

I guess, in this case, there is no risk for the buyer of loosing the money.:)

Logically the risk-free transaction should be covered by the SEDO commission. It's a service you're paying for afterall.. Besides, if something goes wrong, PayPal can also play some role in recovering your money :)

My own experience is that the domain is transferred to Sedo once they have funds confirmed in their Escrow. Sedo then transfers the domain to the buyer.

I didn't know that .. I got fu**ed up one time doing this .. the guy paid with paypal .. and then got the money back ... I asked paypal why they allowed him, and they simply said that SERVICES are not TRACKABLE and therefore I'm not subject to SELLER PROTECTION!!! WTF!!!

Can anyone suggest good payment method for SERVICES where the seller can be protected against such froads ?

    Cheers,

    Venetsian.
