    Hi

A bid was started on SEDO to sell the domain name but due to certain reasons, I am unable to sell the domain name to buyer. Can he take a legal action against me? If so what kind of?

I received following email from buyer, telling about legal action.

    Dear Sir,

I'm the winner for the abcd.com auction in sedo.com.
I've paid the amount of money as requested in the auction (Full amount USD 155), and Sedo's transfer agent has also requested you to give them the AUTH code, but you were not cooperating. Based on the information and facts, you have refused to respond to Sedo's transfer agent.

Since this is a legal auction and Sedo works as a trustee, as such they are providing me with your details to enable me to take legal actions against you.

This is the 1st notice for you. Please kindly respond within 10 days.
If you are not giving any respond within 10 days, I shall take legal actions requesting your registrar to make a transfer.

    Note:
The details of our transaction history are recorded and can be used legally against you.

    Best Regards,
    Mr. ABC

Its a very very bad idea to pullout of a sedo sale generally, but the money *is* held in trust so if you are completely unable to proceed then you can tell sedo to refund him his money, which would be the best thing you can do.. their terms are pretty strict so you may face other penalties as well..
