The person running the server my site is hosted on says they will not create write permissions to the ad_network_ads_252.txt file saying it is a security risk. Is the the case...it is an asp site so does this make a difference...and if there are security risks has anyone been attacked.

    Cheers all,

    Dom

I have never seen a single post here and believe me if that happened there would have been lots.

I would get a new host.
(PS. I thought you were Fryman as you have the same Avatar as him ;) )

It works wit CHMOD 666 as well and no one has been attacked. The worst that happens is someone writes text in there which will never be parsed or executed anyway and the code will delete it automatically. It's an ever updating cache so whatever is in that file won't stay for long.

They can rest assured that 5000 websites have been using it for over half a year without any issues.
