    Hi,
I hope someone can help, i want to know how to secure content on my site so it can't be copied and Pasted.
I recently visited a site that when you tried to highlight and copy text, it displayed a window saying that the content is copyrighted by "site name". How do you think this was done? is it simple? Still new to making site and i don't know where to start.

its a simple no right click java script which can be bi passed rather easily.
as soon as i enter your site, everything on it is placed on my computer so i can get to it no problem.

its quite annoying to see these being used as i like to right click to view in another page or tab.
using those is a total waste of time and may upset your visitors.

another method, also easily bypasses, is to create the text and overlay the area with a div and a transparent image. Of course, viewing the source makes is easy to copy.

Easy. Don't put it online. Even if you use images, people will still be able to get the content and copy it if they're determined enough. As for JavaScript and other such tricks, they don't work since they rely on the person using Internet Explorer, and they can also be by passed by turning off JavaScript support.

In other words, they don't work - period.

well, its pretty hard to avoid people copying content from your site. But there is a simple way to avoid few beginners to copy content on your site by placing CopyScape logo on you website which says "Do not copy. This website is protected by Copy Scape"
