How do I go about securing my product download page?

Right now it's an html page but I don't feel comfortable leaving like that because my zip file will be expose to anybody that accesses my sitemap. I can't make money giving away product for free. What do you all recommend I do? Please advise.

Don't use a download page, use an auto responder with a link to your product on a site like Rapid Share..

Have expiring downloads, a solution would be to use PHP. Where you can move a file from a hidden location, rename it and store it into a temporary location that expires after it has been downloaded via a special key supplied through the URL like this.

    download.php?token=390721398721312&download=productzip

There are alternatively many ways you can do this.

My problem is, I'm not a web designer so Dwayne can you please give me instructions on how to create an expiring download for my product page?

Certainly MP3. If you have an APACHE web server that has PHP and MySQL. I can create a script for you, free of charge nothing too advanced just a simple download script that expires once the file has been downloaded from your website.

Get back to me, won't take long to create at all.

If it's not a problem could I get the code too?? I do use auto responders but this would be a great way also.

I already provided a link to a script that does what MP3 wanted to do and more. I've noticed you keep advertising your freelance web site or whatever it is on every thread someone makes, it's spam.
