I'm wondering if anyone knows of any cart/licensing systems which can prevent fraudulent PayPal transactions? I'm specifically thinking in the context of selling php scripts. Some ideas: - Payments from Unverified PayPal members are detected and the buyer does not get immediate access to download the product. Their purchase must be manually verified by the seller (through their site). - Licenses are issued with the products (scripts) and the license becomes void if a PayPal claim is placed. Is this what phpAudit does? The problem with this is that the licensing system could perhaps be cracked, and would the customer be required to enter the domain they are using with the script in order for the license to be issued (ie. would it be based on the domain used)? Anyone know of any systems out there which can eliminate fraudulent buyers, or at least stop them from getting anything when they make a payment?
I'd suggest e-gold because there is a no refund policy. But funding and withdrawing your egold funds can be a pain since you have to go through exchangers.
2CO is the best one , its same like plimus but it's more reliable as compared to plimus . In plimus buyer can only use paypal account which is not on free email (@yahoo.com , @gmail.com) and most of the people got paypal with free gmail addresses , In 2CO there is no such option and anyone can pay using paypal . go for e-Junkie... files are hosted at their server.. so Buyer can't claim that he didn't get download link & need a refund
Thanks for all the suggestions I'm going to look into all of them. If anyone else has any more recommendations please post them!
additional question about security seller on ebay especialy, how to make buyer only can send payment after get invoice from seller ? with invoice look transaction is more save but sometime many seller directly send payment before buyer send invoice.
These guys offer a good system. - http://www.digitalproductdelivery.com/ They allow several payment options, and they handle all of the hosting / download & authentication. As far as the li9censing void system, I haven't heard of anything that could do this. It's so hard to completely protect code that a licensing system is virtually impossible unless you can use an unbreakable encoding system for the code... You may be able to manually set something like this up, but I don't think anything currently exists. I would highly recommend against using egold. They are temporatily shut down by the FBI because the owners have been indicted for money laundering. It will be amazing if they actually do get running again, and even if they do it will be under completely different circumstances as they will have to comply with FTC regulations for money transfer systems. This will basically make the whole service unusable in the US and many other countries unless there are some major changes made to the entire system.
