in a way I think so too. A new client of mine have all of his pages encrypted, and I was wondering if it's possible to be indexed when they're secured? er, sorry I am really new to secure pages and I don't really know..
Secure pages can be indexed, just none of the users information gets transmitted over the internet, or it gets encrypted. (as far as I know..) eg: http://www.google.com/search?num=20&hl=en&lr=&c2coff=1&q=site:https://adwords.google.com&btnG=Search
mmmm.. will it rank high though? I am wondering if it's possible to rank high for them? and yes they're dynamic pages so if I point a link to them, should it be the exact dynamic secure url?
why does your client want to encrypt every page? does he realize it will be 10X slower which means you can't serve up nearly as many pages? SSL is meant to prevent man in the middle attacks, IE people from sniffing your network to get important information. If all the user needs is a web browser, isn't that pointless? If you do require a log in to view every page to see content then perhaps you should provide a non-logged in set of pages meant to be indexed that are not https and just give descriptions of your content.
