Section Targetting - anyone use it before?

Section targetting is a little piece of code you can put in your pages to suggest what ads show up on your adsense unit.

Has anyone used it with any success? And if so, how long did it take for changes to take place?

Well the reason I want to use this is because Adsense tends to give me very low paying MFA site and ringtone ads and "ZOMG FREE LAPTOP!" type ads. I heard it can take some time for the adsense spider to come and change the type of ads you get once you start using section targetting.

I'm using with (weight=ignore) for 2+ years on many lyric pages to exclude the lyric itself, and IMO it's working well.
Previously sometimes the ads were about the lyric theme and were not music related, but now almost all ads are music or artist related.

That's great. Did it take long for the ads to change?

No, I have never really needed to use section targetting to generate relevant ads because they always are. I guess it might be necessary for the odd niche where the system does not recognise the keywords in the txt properly. However, it must be said that is pretty few and far between because, in most cases, most people do get relevant ads pretty much all the time.

I use section targeting to ignore generic words "forum, blog, etc." which tend to give unrelated ads.
