As I have not been getting relevant ads on one of my sites, I've used section targeting. I put it on 3 or 4 days ago but it doesnt make any difference to the ads . I've put around 200 words in the section targeting. So does this thing work, or do I have to wait longer?
check your image name in your page , i had one worst experience with that, my all page content was related to "computers" but one my image name was credit_card_logo.jpg then all my adsense ads was related credit cards ...!! you have to create new web page with new name and create new adsense code ( just for new channel ID ) after manage all your page "keyword" or use site authentication tool
Yep. same thing happend to me what leandar was saying. I changed every pic name to what I wanted to show up and it did after about a week...
Thanks for that, I've had a look into that and changed images to add a keyword in them. Still made no difference. Maybe I'll have to leave it a bit longer for it to work. I think Google advises it can take up to a week for section targeting to work.
Try to put the main keywords only inside the section targeting tags. You can find more info here: Section Targeting
its working for me, like you said, i need 1-2 weeks to see it works now the ads is relevant with the content
Another odd thing I've noticed is that when I'm developing and displaying my website locally, at home, I get different ads to my website when its on the 'net. Sometimes I get more relevant ads locally but other times I get PSA ads!!! Adsense just doesnt make sense sometimes!
Whenever you write any post search google keyword tool and fins related words where advertisers investing in ads and than use those few keywords relevant to your posts .
this wont take 1 week if you change URL too , i mean if your html page name "computer.html" change to "computer_online.html" or any... i think adsense bot cached that page thats why ads dont changing.
