How do you think section ids effects search engines? Are they ignored? Or are they picked up as unique urls?

In other words, would below be picked up as two unique URLs?
    http://example.com/somepage.html

    http://example.com/somepage.html#SubSection

Thats not very convincing. What are your personal experiences?

Its also possible to use Named Anchors, but I'd prefer to just link the Ids.

Another reason i ask, is that some directories/linkfarms, will pick it up as a unique url with the ID included. But i guess its safe to assume that google can tell that its a section URL, because if they didn't, then we most likely would have a lot of duplicate title's showing up in GWT.

Search Engines don't pick same Anchor Tags on 1 Page. So, obviously, this will not be picked up...
