To Webmaster of this wonderful forum,
Can you please start a sub-forum for .NET in your Forum PROGRAMMING. .NET is getting very popular and almost all the vb6 & c++ programmer has shifted to .NET. So isin't it a good idea to start a forum for .NET also.

    Kindly consider my request.

no. Start one yourself ;) Kidding. I would not recommend asking again. Im sure that your request was noted. The owner of the site is very busy and recieves these requests all day long Im sure. I would get quickly annoyed with those asking for thing repetitvely ;)

On a serious note, start your own .net forum.

Is it really that popular ? I know lots and lots of software developers and none of us use .NET . Probably because we have not found anything radically different to compell us to use it. I have heard it is mostly wrappers around existing classes and functions to make programming easier but nothing more.

Just a humble opinion to let you know not a lot of us have joined the bandwagon.

The best way to get a category to be created is usually to post all kinds of great and authoritative posts in a similar one. If the information and dialog is really good, creating a new category will be automatic.

The problem is noone is showing any interest in it nor are they posting about it so the creation of a forum that will remain pretty much empty has little chance.

If there is enough content in the Programming section to justify it's own category, it will be split off.
