Second link from same directory

    Hello all,

I'm considering buying second links from some of the major directories eg yahoo, botw. My site can legitimately be listed in more than one category. Anyone have any feedback on possible drawbacks of this (other than cost : )) also do you think it's worth it?

So basically you already have a site listed at Yahoo! and wanting to have another link?

If you're looking for traffic then sure, as far as SEO if you're able to use more anchor text for the second category sure, but if you have to use your site title in both categories I'd say probably not worth it.

No drawbacks, only cost. Probably you don’t get the same kick as the first one, got still worth having, better to do a deep link.

I have a very young directory only 7 months, but some submitters like it so much that they submit same site to several categories or deep link.

As long as you use an anchor text that is relevant to that category you will be fine. However I do not recommend that you point the link to the homepage but do what !ASK! said and deep link to a different page this way other pages in your site can benifit.

I would buy links with high PR. Geting right niche backlinks from high PR sites is better than any other kind of links.
