This past weekend Sebastian Vettel won the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and became the youngest ever Formula 1 world champion at 23 years old. The race was more or less set up in Ferrari's Fernando Alonso's favour as he was leading the championship and only had to finish 4th in order to become champion if Vettel won. But Ferrari made a crucial race strategy descision and was stuck behind slower cars after his pitstop - without being able to pass - for the rest of the race. Vettel has always been one of those rare talents, but I didn't think he would be World Champion just yet. The kid has got a 25% win ratio in his circuit racing career, that's pretty outstanding - especially since he's been in F1 for four years already (at least for 3.5 years). There were actually four different drivers who could theoretically win the title at the last race, I don't think that has happened before - or has it? So, what do you guys think. A deserving champion, or was this Alonso's / Webber's / Hamilton's / Button's year?
I didn't want him to win, he was a one man guy, he was way to competative and he was willing to take out his team mate, Mark Webber and did so in one race, i reckon Hamilton should have won.
Oh, I suddenly miss David Coulthard now when it's off-season. His "next year will be my year" comments after every single one of his F1 seasons were gold.
hahahha.. whereas that in jagokan Alonso F1 win, but it all upside down already .. Ferrary was past his time now .. the same technology
