This might be a silly question: If I put a google 'search' box on my site, does the search include webpages in my diectory or only pages with links on my home page??? In my case, my index.html file is the home page which I update each month. Now I keep previous month's pages archived in my webdirectory. But will those show up in google searches??? Any help here is appreciated...
I believe there's an option that you can add to give them the option to search the web or search your site
Whatever Google has found and listed on your site can be searched for using their custom search box. Just remember they won't list all pages in their SE and if that page can't be found in a regular Google search, more than likely it won't be found in a custom search box, either.
Im afraid I didn't ask my question correctly;let me rephrase: Presently my 'site' is located on the webserver disks of my webhosting service. Now the directories assigned to me have numerous webpages ,some of which are linked from my home page. My question is: if a google 'search this site' feature is used, will it include in its search ALL the webpages (html files) found in my webserver directory????
