I am searching for some best web developer companies in the world. Who can build Paypal, Facebook, amazon or ebay type websites.

For that you must contact directly to the company search in net you will get lots of good companies but their charges will be high also.

"The best in the world" will be charging you in excess of $1500 per person per day and you will have to include a lot of man days in governance and due process costs - the actual writing code for the site will represent less than 30% of the overall time spent on the project.

Is this really the type of organisation you are looking for?

There are plenty of developers that can create stong sites that are scalable up to a normal point. As soon as you talking about the likes of MySpace and having massive farms of servers you are moving into a different league and your going to need a whole host of specialists that are going to cost you a lot more than that each and that doesnt factor in the fact you are going to have 10+ people working on it at any point in time which then adds the overheads of a project manager and solution architect to create the cohesion between the different areas/ people.

Unless you have massive bucks to spend (which you say you dont) then work on the principle of developing something that can work on a pair of dedicated servers (ie one web server and one SQL) and advise them that you may want to outgrow that solution in the future; not that the explicitly code for it but that they don't create solutions that will require them to be thrown away and started again in the event of growth.

Back in 2000 I worked alongside USA consultants who were decidedly average. They charged US$150/hour.

11 years later who knows what the best in the world would charge?
