Hello, I am creating a new website and am choosing a domain name. For traffic i will depend mostly on search engines. if my website was about- (example) an adsense forum. if i called it forum.adsense.com would this be a good result in a search query of "adsense forum"? or adsenseforum.com would this be ranked higher than the other under the same query? which is better? thanks.
generally adsenseforum.com would get higher in the search than forum.adsense.com in my experience a sub domain would be 2nd to a top level domain. ps: don't attempt adsense as a keyword - it's too saturated!
I would go for the TLD instead of the sub-domain. Both will be capable of ranking quite well when optimized correctly.
Well im not quite sure what to do. I would like to create a forum website, however if we use the topic of SEO as the website (just an example). If i call the site SEOforum.com then that is putting "all the eggs in one basket" where as if its forum.SEO.com then if it never catches on then i can revert back and use SEO.com and have articles about seo and tips etc. Any ideas?
