Searches per month in Overture relates to Google?

For the experienced guys... if you find a keyword phrase in overture and it tells you 2000 searches for the last month and you manage to rank number 1 for that term in Google. What sort of number of visitors would you be looking at for the month from Google? I realise these numbers vary and it's a bit like how long is a piece of string but I reckon experienced campaigners here would probably be able to give a decent ballpark from their own experience. I would imagine the search volume in google to be a lot higher than what overture spits out?

Anyway I'm interested in hearing "real-world" experiences rather than any theoretical numbers if anyone can help.

    There is no concrete proof.
I think you should take overture values for yahoo search engine only.

My experience vary. Many times I found overture gives near to acurate value and sometimes difference like 1:2000 per day. It happend last to last month when overture shows more then 2000 searches per day, but when I topped the keyword, I don't get any traffic.

i've never found overture particularly accurate so i tend to stay away from it. it also is based on yahoo results not google so its not relly that reliable
