I guess there is nothing I can do about it. Looks to be a cyber squatter in india. It is a highly obscure name, there is no coincidence here.. it was like clockwork. I have complained to godaddy but can't see it doing any good. Is there any way to persue this or am I wasting my time. The app is still in dev so we do not have any formal protections in place. All we can prove is that the app name was in dev before this guy squatted it. Thanks for any advice.
You will be wasting your time if you persue this. Did you enter the domain name on any other site then godaddy? I don't believe that godaddy "stole" your domain.
how come you say that Indians stole your domain? Without buying the domain, how can you be the owner anyways, when you typed in a keyword(s) and if that is quite popular and if the registrar believes the domain has good value... the registrar will keep the domain in hold. Godaddy is well known for this and of course there are some other few registrars too. These companies keep track of searched keywords.. Sorry if I got u wrong! Regards
there is nothing you can do about it.. care to share the name ? There were cases like this reported before when you use whois searches provided by third party.... but i don't think it is widespread.. Could also be coincidence...
