    Hi admin,

One modification that I use on my forums is the 'Search Titles Only' mod.

This adds a checkbox to the search dropdown menu and allows you to search in the titles only, not the whole thread/post.

I'm sure the members would love this mod and it would improve the usability of the forum.

I hope you consider it. :)

    Regards,
    Devilfish

Already done (didn't use the plug-in though... don't need it).

    Fantastic, thanks Shawn.

One thing though, it's not included in the dropdown menu on forumdisplay pages, I think the plugin adds the option to both navbar and forumdisplay searches.

Truthfully, I didn't look at the plug-in... I suspect they use a plug-in for unserializing search preferences from the normal search.php to decide if you want to check or un-check the box based on your settings.

Not sure I want to force the extra load of an unserialize() call for every page view of the forum. Individually it doesn't add a lot of overhead, but when you start adding lots of those little things, they add up on a very high traffic forum. So for now it's checked by default (regardless of your personal search settings). Might change in the future... we'll see.

Thanks for taking the time to add it Shawn, appreciate it! :)

There's so many threads on DP that it's hard to narrow down your search results, this helps greatly.
