Search Results: Did some of them get deleted?

    I did a "site:" search on one of my blogs (dollardeveloper (DOT) com) yesterday and got about 40 or so results for it.
    I wanted to check if google had added more pages to the results just now, and now only 3 results come up.

    How is this possible? I'm really puzzled!

    It sounds like you are getting data from different data centers. Give it some time and those other data centers should eventually update your indexed page count.

    vansterdam is probably right .. but I dont think the jump from 40 to 3 is reasonable, unless your site is very new.. is it?
