    Hey guys,

So I finally took everyones advice and got a real host :) to go with my domain name. It originally was hosted by Geocities Plus.

I changed because Google was only indexing my index page...and people said I could be lost in the rankings because I had a domain go to my geocities page.

Will changing hosts make my rank better?

No, host cannot effect your rankings.

    Host can effect your rankings.

You certainly need to be hosted in the country where your targetted audience is - for most general topics, that would be the United States as they have the largest English speaking population.

I have no idea if your new host may help your rankings, but it is far better to have your own host then using a service like GeoCities for alsorts of reasons.

Links to your site are the biggest factor to rankings - try and get plenty.

    Pete
