Audio/video search engine PodZinger recently PodZinger recently added a new feature to apply its speech to text technology to search within all of YouTube’s content.

This is definitely a breakthrough as YouTube users can now search for content not only by tags or other metadata, but by speech-to-text analysis to find the most relevant videos. Furthermore, PodZinger is also automatically organizing the videos into different category channels such as “entertainment”, “sports” and “anime” so that users can better find what they want.

Although this was intended to be a soft launch to experiment with the feature, word has gotten out and has sparked a lot of chatter in the blogosphere. With this, PodZinger will be able to crack the code in providing relevant advertising for the widely popular site. Google, who recently bought YouTube has been successful in the past with its AdSense program for text content but has not been able to find a method to match video content with relevant advertising.

Marshall Kirkpatrick broke the news here last week:

Anyone has any thoughts on this?
