    I thought I read somewhere that google doesn't like people running automated services like this. Is that correct or just another
    one of those things I read online?

    Strangely enough I just posted in this forum about SERP listings and then found this post.

    Absolutely.
    But there are a lot of people who needs to know their websites rankings, but don't have so much time to check it manually, so our service is what they need and there is no chance for google to reject it :)
