    Hello.

This is my first post and first site so excuse my noobishness, im here to learn.:)

I have a authority site that is about 1 month old and gets around 500 unique visitors daily. Lets call it "cartuninghelp.com". My position in google for "car tuning help" is between 5-15. But if i search for "car tuning" my page is not found by google at all. The same in yahoo, and various SERP checkers. Any idea of how this might happened and how i screwed up?

    Thanks!

First of all no 1 month old site can be classed as an authority site, also your domain "cartuninghelp.com" is an exact match to the keyword "car tuning help" that will be part of the reason you rank for it, and I expect the keyword "car tuning" is much more competitive and there for much harder to rank for.

Hi Calamity, jayw1988 is right: your website is ranking well for "car tuning help" because that's the exact URL you are using.

It's typically easy to rank for your exact URL phrase, not so much for more competitive keywords. "Car tuning" is a lot harder to rank for because there hundreds of thousands of websites that already have backlinks, great SEO, and content that is years old.

Build some backlinks, keep your content updated regularly, and after a few months or years you'll start to rank for keywords other than your exact URL phrase.
