Search Engines and Traffic, or is there another way?

    Are their better ways to get traffic on the Internet. Search Engines don't give me the traffic i need, mabye fifteen targeted keywords a day. So far most of the traffic to my site is from links and a few advertising sites, some are free.

    SEO probably is the best way to get traffic which is why it's also one of the more competitive ones.

    In the meantime get your articles out, consider PPC and use social networking and directories to build up links - Ultimately these links will lead to good SEO in time; provided your page optimisation and keyword selection are sound.

    So maybe your site is not so well targetted. Do some research for very popular phrases where you can compete with your resources and go up as much as you can. There are many ways to your site, not only 'mp3 download' (only for instance ;).
