I have a project that is going to rely on people linking back to me... these links will either be of the form

    a) mywebsite.com?ref=yourid

    or

    b)will be a <form action="mywebsite.com" method="POST"> where ref is passed as a hidden variable

How will these affect my search engine rankings/visibility. For example, will they recognise mywebsite.com?ref=yourid as a link to mywebsite.com.

Google won't be able to read whats in your Form field..

So the link would be counted..

Was as I suspected... what about the mywebsite.com?ref=yourID... will it count as a link to mywebsite.com or only to mywebsite.com?ref=yourID?

it would be counted to mywebsite.com and not mywebsite.com?ref=yourID?
