Search Engine Visit or Direct Visit?

Suppose user put any one of keyword and search. Then user opened one of site (internal link page) from search result, but due to 404 error or any other error that page not open and not redirected to the home page. Then user keep only domain path (remaining path deleted) from the address bar and open the site (home page) Is this visit count as direct visit or search engine visit?

 

Nice question. when you open any URL direct by address bar than it will be count as Direct visit.

It's a search engine visit cos fist visitor Got the website Inner Page URL through search engines and their IP address has been tracked by search engines and he is opening the same Domain. So it should be Via Search Engine Visit.

Anything without a referrer is a direct visit.
