    Rather than search engine submission you should go for making a quality backlinks. Once your site is live than search engine crawler will crawl your site automatically. Or you can submit your site into webmaster tool of bing and google

    For search engine submission add quality and unique content for descriptions. Make your profile should consists proper information. Try to submit bookmark and directories on high PR sites.

    Agree completely. Add links on high PR sites and Google will beat its way to your site's door. Bing and Yahoo take their own time so submission may be a good idea. Since 80% of traffic comes from Google it is okay if Bing and Yahoo are taking their time. In addition Yahoo and Bing both take time in ranking new sites in SERPs
