Hi SEO experts, I want to know your tip in Search engine submissions. I want to submit my site in SE like google bing or yahoo, question, If i see that it is already included on the index, does it mean that I don't have to submit to that SE anymore. I think the general question is, "how would you know if it is ok to send to your site to that particular search engine if your site is already in searchable in that site. Thanks for sharing your experiences. I greatly appreciate your comments.
Submitting your site to Google or Yahoo and Bing is something from the past! Webmasters used to do that 10 years ago when search engines were less efficient. Nowadays it's a batter idea to let Google find your site by just building a couple of quality backlinks. Submitting URLs to any search engine is a total waste of time!
yea use google sitemap to submit new site but its not necessary, google is smart enough to crawl your site automatically.
As Zexy mentioned, there really is no need to submit your website to search engines any longer. The best thing go do is: 1. Build and submit a sitemap to each of the major search engines. 2. Start building links. Once the sitemaps are submitted, your site will be indexed in no time.
The best way for a search engine to list your site is to add content the second it launches and continue to do so for a few days. Make sure you send a few pings and a few trackbacks. When google lands on your site and reads your atom feed it will determine how often it crawls your site. if you can post often and keep it up for a while Google will crawl your site 200 times a day. if you never add content Google will only crawl it a few times a week.
