I just started with Adsense and right now, for 2 days, i avg $1 a day by generating traffic myself....am happy with the traffic but i need help! i submitted my website to many search engines, i need some hits...how long does it takes for it to show up when people search? I need other traffic other than the ones i generate myself..help!
Well, I started two new sites about 2 months ago. I did not submit the sites to any search engines. They showed up on google within 6 hours, and on other search engines within a few days. They're now generating traffic nicely - no submissions, no link swaps whatever. So long as you add content, and keep adding it, the search engines will like you.
do blog and ping... thats the most straightforward method... lately the SE is very very slow... they come they crawl.. but its taking forever to get into the index.. especially google....
The quickest way to get your site crawled is with links, you dont need to 'submit' your site to anything. You may get indexed by SE's quickly, but it will take a while to get decent rankings
Best way of search engine submission is obtaining quality inbound link MSN takes less than week Yahoo takes less than 2 weeks and Google varies. (imho).
That and my ancient Chinese secret... Actually go to the SE's add url/submit page and hand list/submit your site...
It took me a few hours for Yahoo, altavista, excite. Google only shows me through some links. I love google but they don't love me
Ho ho ho, that's me as well, can I take it as my catchphrase Indexing times: MSN - almost no time at all Google - best:2 days - worst: 4 months and still waiting (don't ask, I've already moaned about it somewhere else) Yahoo - less than a month (Yahoo is the only one where I submitted sites directly, I thought it helped but who knows..)
It took Google about 2 weeks just to get the domain name into the index, and about a month to start indexing content. MSN bot indexed my site and content in no time at all after submission. I haven't submitted to Yahoo! yet.
You're definitely better off using natural SEO, and having the SEs find you, than relying on the SEs to include your site based on your submission. There are no guarantees, and SEO will provide more consistent results in the long run. Sam
