Hello, any of you that know any of these answers, or company help is appreciated. I looked on the forum for the information that I need about search engine script and still need some questions answered. It sounds like it pulls up http addresses found on a website. Let me know if this is incorrect. How easily does it pull up a site address? How many pages can it search? If it matters, my http addresses will be all togther within my site. It's based on Google's index. So the only limitation is the number of documents Google spidered from your site.

I'm not sure how else to word it to be honest. You can have as many pages in the index as Google will spider from your site. For example there are around a million pages from this forum in Google's index... [search=google]site:forums.digitalpoint.com[/search]
If you want a search engine script that will spider all the pages on your site, index them and make them searchable check out the one from Fluid Dynamics. It is a cgi not php. The last time I checked it was still free and they offered a free installation.
Man I really must be missing something. I understand things really well but I am hearing another language here. Maybe I should tell you what I am looking for and hopefully you will tell me if search engine script does this. From what I could see before, it does but, you are making me wonder now. I need a search for my own website. I need it to pull up the links that I put on my pages to other websites. I need it to search through many pages. Man this thread is getting viewed alot, others must be wondering about this program too. So I am guessing by looking at the Search Engine Script web page that this feature is free. Is this correct? Let me know please, thanks a lot and that is all I need to try to get a website to test it. bbanneli
