In what is probably not terribly great news for SEO Chat, SE Round Table has opened a forum and taken many of the remaining (and old) mods... http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/002941.html
I see Barry also stepped down over at SEOChat as both a Mod and Member...I don't think any recent news has been good for SEOChat...They have around 10 members online even at their peak times most days. Best of luck to Barry!
Was it SEOChat that added rel="nofollow" to their members' links and generally censored/restricted chat a few weeks back?
SEOChat was the first forum I ever joined. Now most of the good mods over there have their own forums. I wish them all well. I doubt if will hurt DP, however. Shannon
Yes. I was out of town when it happened and got home to an email box full of "Dude, where are you - all hell is breaking lose!" messages. This was on top of warning/banning some other members just a week previous. It seems the ownership decided they wanted their forum back out of the hands of the membership. Well, now they have it. And litle else. It's really quite sad. It's so hard to build a community and to see one destroyed in just a couple weeks shocked me. I still float in at SC but spend most of my time at SEO Refugee, another forum a lot of ex-SCers post at. And there is Cre8 which has a ton of really qualified people and a unique culture but I think some of us fit in there and some really don't. Anyway, I hope everyone involved in that mess comes out well. There were a lot of really tallented people at SC and it was a shame to see them go.
I registered at SE, have no idea what kinda crew its gonna bring - can only wait and see. If its anything near dp it will be a success, no doubt
Wow... took a look at several posts and the quality of the replies is quite good... that site will be a perfect source of good information
