Hello, guys I have decided to summarize and share my experience of optimizing sites through social networking sites. I am in seo business and I can tell you that these days optimizing your site through social sites is the fastest way to the top of search engines. The biggest advantage is that you can get top spots on the first page of search engine results for many of your keywords...without any link building. This is the strategy #1 for all brand new sites. Besides the fact that you get huge flood of traffic from these sites, you get visitors that have been pre-sold. You already have established relationships with them, they trust you and they are very likely to buy your products. Here is the list of sites that I've found out working well for me: 1. www.squidoo.com - create a lense (page), use ebay, flickr and other modules to educate and sell your product on squidoo or on your site! 2. www.wagg.it - submit your story with a link to your site. They are growing fast, easy and very fast approval. 3. www.digg.com - everybody knows 4. www.propeller.com - everybody knows 5. www.hubpages.com - post content, get it read by others and get people to visit your site. 6. www.stumbleupon.com - if your site is getting good ratings, Stumbleupon is including it in their list of sites that they feed out to people who click the Stumbleupon button. You are getting free traffic, with no effort on your part. 7. www.youtube (create and submit a video or a slide show)+submitting it to other important video websites www.blip.tv www.eyespot.com www.freeiq.com www.grouper.com and many, many others I was using a slide show as a discount for my products. Everybody who was watching the slide show was able to write down the promotional codes for my products. 8. www.scribd.com - hope everybody knows 9. www.myspace.com 10. www.facebook.com 11. lots of other social sites, add your own here Ok, what are disadvantages? Here is again my opinion time consuming you need to control every word that you are gonna post, you are building your reputation on these sites if English is not your native language, you probably need to hire someone to create a valuable content This is just a small part of a big world that you can join now and move your business forward!
