Well there are many definitions and techniques for SEO. Some say you need URLS with keywords to rank high VS Content is king. Digitalpoint doesn't have SEO friendly URLS however they rank high so i guess content really is king. Try getting content on your site first.

I think many of the techniques are the same and aren't likely to see changes in any short period of time. That being said, the ability to continually craft new content seemingly becomes more important every day. Keep writing and creating videos etc and you'll get there....it takes time though as SEO continues to become more and more competitive.

SEO is not as simple as explaining, 1, 2, 3 or a, b, c. There are two basic parts to it, On-Page and Off-Page, and each have their own set of techniques. However, I have to say that one of the most important things definitely IS quality CONTENT. I am now 100% sure on this, but I do not think a keyword in the URL has much to do with it. Writing articles is perhaps one of those important SEO techniques that require HIGH quality and will help your website go a long way.
