    Hi Max:

I think you should allow guests to read your Rules so that they can decide whether or not they want to register. All links lead back to the initial page requiring registration and there is no forum information provided.

    Cordially,

It should be possible to for unregistered users to at least see some part of the content, so that they can make up their mind about registration. Better still, only enforce registration when people want to post. If visitors cannot see what kind of content the site is offering, they will most likely just go away.

What I think is funny is that you talk so negatively about DMOZ, but your whole site: http://zonebot.com is derived from DMOZ content...

And don't forget the link to DMOZ on every page. Clearly a site that loves DMOZ. BTW, schlottke, you gave him a free link in your post

Pretty hard to review anything when there is no content besides a log in prompt

    Get rid of

    "The following errors were found:

No one's going to register just to review your forum.

Not sure if it has been mentioned before but I don't like that you have to sign up first.

Design seems OK to me. SEO wise, there appear to be session ID's. Can G spider it if you require log in?

The board administrator requires all members to log in

Well, if you want us to review your site, you need to give us access to it....

I think it is a mistake to require registration, but even if you decide to keep it this way, you should have temporarily removed that restriction when you requested a review of your site...

Good luck with the forum though!

What exactly would you like us to review? Are you just trying to get a link with the anchor text "search engine optimization forum". Or, are you trying to get members of this search engine optimization forum to join your forum? If either of those scenerios are what you're trying to do, don't waste these fine peoples time with a "review my website, PLEASE" thread...

It is open now. just a quick look and suggestion. It would help to resize the main table so that horizontal scrolling is not needed. I checked it in both Firefox and IE.

Too many categories IMO to start a forum with. It's better to have a few busy ones than 24 empty ones. Then later you can diversify.

I would not join unless I could see some content.

I am not sure why but light blue on a forum is distracting. I would soften it or make it more oblique if you want to continue using it.
