I have found that pages of my blog are not getting high rank in Yahoo. However, the website is doing fine in Google Search and I get more than 95 percent search engine traffic from Google. I want to know if the rules for SEO is different for Google and Yahoo. Here I would like to add that the listing of a new page in google happens within 24 hours but in case of Yahoo I am not even sure if the listing will happen or not.
I think the rules are generally the same. Fresh original keyword rich content, relevant do follow backlinks, etc.
Bing and Yahoo are different than Google. It is a LOT easier to rank in Yahoo and Bing if you know what needs to be done. The Bing Algo, which also powers the Yahoo SERPS is much more of a 'traditional' algo, in that it kind of operates like most algo's did 5-7 years ago. If you understand what that means you can easily figure out how to rank in Yahoo and Bing
Ranking on Yahoo and Bing have stayed the same for years!! Google has made it so hard by deindexing "unrelated" links, but seems that it is relative to your domains age, speed, search word clicks rather than content now! Try staying with the keyword SEO Tactics and keep using target=_blank to open in new tab as so to keep visitors on the original page longer to google! 10 people staying on your site for 5 mins avg is always better than 100 people staying on your site for 20 seconds to google ("keep using target=_blank to open in new tab")!! Google thinks if they stay on your site longer it MUST be a relavent page!!! Even 10,000 clicks per day with an avg of 15 secs per click = bad bounce rate on google!! Please read more on the Google Analytics website!! Hope this Helps!!!! I will Only give helpful info!! Why not help my rep???
i think you should keep on working with Google rather than yahoo, because Google has huge collection of data comparatively yahoo, so it is far better than yahoo
If you're doing the average SEO then you should rank in Bing, Google and Yahoo so i don't think there is much special you can do beside that.
