You might wonder why I posted about this, despite how much I love google and use them nearly exclusively for my own searching, it's important not to discount all the other search engines out there especially when it comes to successful search engine marketing. I thought I would give an honorable mention for a few lesser known search engines here... DuckDuckGo - while may seem silly to some, a lot of people like to have a personal style match with the sites they like to use, and with this search engine recently forming a partnership with Blekko to share information and tech should prove to boost their loyal returning users. Just because Google has the biggest share doesn't mean you can't get loads of traffic from the other SE's like this, and even easier since the competition usually isn't focused on their rankings in other SERPS. I like this one due to it's unique name and branding, maybe that's just because I like creativity, but I still recommend adding this site to your marketing arsenal. Quora - much more user centric and based on questions and answers, shared knowledge and comments. Wajam - social search tool also more user centric unlike google's advanced algorithms and AI development. I like the two above because they are social and user based so the traffic from them is more likely to have higher conversion rates and lower bounce rates, if they clicked they had a good reason. Any you care to comment on?
