I've had AdSense on my site for a few years. I get around 5-10K visitors per day but make just a few dollars. I know this poor (to me anyway) conversion is probably because my site's traffic is largely from outside the US. I was wondering how big a factor search keywords are. Over 90% of traffic to my site comes from direct links (i.e. bookmarks and people typing it directly into the browser), rather than via a search engine. Is this a factor in determining how much the ads pay?
To get convertion, start and promoting your website, but start and use other techniques than bookmarks. Try relevant content posted on website and shared on your social pages. Repeat , repeat. Also be active on your niche communities. You will see that traffic will convert. Bookmarks traffic converts poorly. Reddit is good but you need to know how to use it.
